This is the second part of Management Advisory Services and is designed to further enhance the basic and fundamental knowledge of the students that they have learned from BSA511-Management Advisory Services Part 1. Initially, the course will cover the topic on the overview of Management Advisory Services by Certified Public Accountants, its historical development, nature, characteristics, professional standards and more importantly, the profession’s legal and ethical considerations. Then, the more complex and advanced topics on short-term budgeting and forecasting, feasibility studies, capital investment decision (capital budgeting), long-term source of financing decisions, quantitative and mathematical approaches to management decision, will be extensively covered in this course.

        Course Description

      This is the second part of Management Advisory Services and is designed to further enhance the basic and fundamental knowledge of the students that they have learned from BSA511-Management Advisory Services Part 1. Initially, the course will cover the topic on the overview of Management Advisory Services by Certified Public Accountants, its historical development, nature, characteristics, professional standards and more importantly, the profession’s legal and ethical considerations. Pre-requisite Subject: BSA 511 Management Advisory Services Part 1
 
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
A.     Have a mastery of the basic and advanced concepts and practice of management advisory services.
B.     Have an extensive knowledge in the planning and control techniques in business operations to be effective in management decision making process.
C.     Develop an outstanding analytical ability to able to face the challenges and find solution to the overwhelming various business problems, and be an effective management decision maker.
D.     Be able to utilize technology such as computers, the internet and other office machines in the practice of management advisory services.
E.      Develop an attitude of professionalism, competence and intellectual excellence in rendering management advisory services.
F.      Develop values of honesty, integrity independence of mental attitude and consciousness for social responsibility.
