This course is designed to expose students to audit concepts, approaches and procedures in an information technology environment. It should provide sufficient understanding of the IT environment considerations, audit tools, and audit objectives and procedures in the conduct of an IT audit engagement.

Course Objective:
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
- Describe basic concepts of auditing, assurance and internal control relevant to IT audit engagements
- Understand the basic concepts of the use of Information technology, which includes Computer Operations, Data Management Systems, Systems Development & Maintenance Activities, Networks, Internet, and the E-commerce, and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (or ERP)
- Explain Computer-assisted Audit Tools and Techniques
- Describe Audit procedures for auditing revenue and expenditure cycle in an IT environment
- Understand business ethics and fraud responsibilities in an IT environment
