About
BA-106 traces the establishment of small business firms, starting from an analysis of entrepreneurial opportunities available, progressing to the actual creation of the firm, and concluding with the management strategies necessary to keep the firm operating successfully. An analysis of the Philippine business environment as it affects the setting up and operations of small business is conducted throughout the course. Discussion is also focused on the factors that may determine success or failure. a final output is a written feasibility study presented for interpolation to a panel of business and BA faculty
This course traces the establishment of small business firms-starting from an analysis of entrepreneurial opportunities available, progressing to the actual creation of the firm, and concluding with the management strategies necessary to keep the firm operating successfully. An analysis of the Philippine business environment as it affects the setting up and operations of small business is conducted throughout the course. Discussion is also focused on the factors that may determine success or failure of a business enterprise. A final output is a written Strategic Management Project presented for interpolation to a panel of BA faculty.
At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
1. Develop critical thinking skills and reasoning ability through class discussions, case studies, recitations and other class activities
2. Develop a sense of social responsibility through community- based action research and/or community service projects
3. To develop enterprises of target beneficiaries
4. Recognize the necessity of conserving our natural resources
5. Express their insights and thoughts freely and creatively on national policies and issues
6. Construct business matrices
7. Use case studies from which business strategies can be derived
