BL 103: The Law on Business Organizations (Accounting)

About
This course deals with the laws governing the formation of partnerships and corporations. It includes a discussion on the various types of partnerships and corporations, profit sharing among partners, dissolution and liquidation of a partnership, classes of capital stock, powers and obligations of stockholders, rights and liabilities of stockholders, trustees and officers of the corporation. The course also includes a discussion on the law of associations such as clubs.

Objectives: At the end of the course the students should be able to -
- Understand how partnerships and corporations are formed, dissolved and liquidated; and
- To know the powers, rights and obligations of the partnership and corporations; partners, directors, and officers;
