About
This course is designed to expose students to the fundamentals of Management Information Systems (MIS). This is to provide students with the basic understanding of information resources and technology, computer operations, computing resources, information system threats, risks and controls.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Fully understand the foundational concepts of management information systems and its environment
2. Understand the technologies enhancing information through electronic commerce
3. Understand computer functions, operations, computing resources, database management, systems development and maintenance, and transaction processing systems
4. Learn how to manage and control management information systems
